Chinasa enjoys trip to Tuscaloosa

Richardson (Texas) Berkner star defensive end Ugo Chinasa took his first official visit of the season to Alabama this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder enjoyed taking in the Tide's game despite the loss.
"The visit was really good and I like the atmosphere there," he said. "I got to Tuscaloosa on Friday and walked around campus, talked to the coaches and went out to eat most of the trip. I was hosted by Wallace Gilberry and he was really cool. He showed me around the campus and just told me to make the right decision for me.

"Today, I got up to eat breakfast and then talked to coach Shula and checked out the facilities. It was really good talking to coach because he told me how they play younger players and I like that I could get a chance to play pretty early here. I also liked coach Randolph and coach Connelly. They both told me what it's like to be down here and all about how the fans are crazy."
Despite the tough overtime loss, the Rivals250 prospect enjoyed the game a lot.
"It was a really good game and the atmosphere was loud and intense. The people down here are crazy," he said. "On the field, I really like the way they rush the quarterback and they also stop the run very well. I just enjoy the schemes they run."
Chinasa rated his trip to Tuscaloosa a nine.
"Everyone treated me well down here and I had a good time," he said. "I would say right now they are probably in my top three or five with Oklahoma, LSU and Oklahoma State."
The four-star prospect hasn't scheduled officials with the three other teams yet, but plans to take them after he finishes the season. As for Chinasa's last official, that is up in the air between Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor.
