Chilo Rachal: Back From SDSU

Compton (Calif.) Dominguez offensive lineman Chilo Rachal took his first official visit of the year to San Diego State this past weekend. The USC commitment said he loved his visit and has four more to take in January before he's through.
"Oh man, it was tight, it was real cool," Rachal said. "The coaches were cool, I got along real well with all the players and love the campus and the whole area there. I spent a lot of time with Coach (Dave) Baldwin (OL coach) and like him a lot. San Diego State is a good school and a solid program. I'm going to take the rest of my trips but SDSU definitely gave me a lot to think about."

Rachal, 6-5, 300 pounds recently scored a 900 on the SAT and should now have no problems qualifying. He committed over the summer to USC and said he remains committed to the Trojans but wants to take the rest of his trips just to be sure of his decision.
"I'm going to Oregon State (Jan. 9), Washington (Jan. 16), USC (Jan. 23) and Oregon (Jan. 30). I was going to visit Oregon first but they wanted to be the last visit. They said it's kind of a policy they have when they trip in committed players, they want the player to trip in after he visits the school he commits to because they said too many times, a player just takes a visit for the fun of it and then re-commits when he visits the school he's going to.
"I've already cleared all this with Coach (Greg) Burns (USC DB coach), he said he didn't mind that I take these two trips. I just want to see what all is out there but USC is still my school and where I want to be at. That hasn't changed."
