Childs talks about his visit to ASU

Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide out Jeremy Childs took his first official visit of the season to Arizona State this past weekend. Childs said he loved the visit but was it enough to climb to the top of his leader board?
“I had a great visit,” Childs said. “The whole weekend was great. We played on Thursday last week so I was able to get out there on Friday and spend the whole weekend. Jeremy Payton was my host and he was real cool. He showed me around, we saw all the hot spots in Tempe and I have to say, the girls are unbelievable there at ASU.

“We went out Friday night and then Saturday was the game and the Pat Tillman tribute which was very emotional. They showed a film on the big screen there of his days at ASU and it was really moving. He was a great person and a great football player. The team played well and you have to like how they get the ball down the field.
"After the game, I went out with the players again, had a good time and on Sunday, I had a nice long talk with Coach Koetter. All the coaches they have are all young and really easy to talk with. You can relate easy with them, some staffs, the coaches are kind of old and it’s tough to talk with them but I like all the coaches at ASU. They definitely moved up in my eyes but I liked them a lot already, they have been one of my favorites for some time.”
Childs, 6-0, 180 pounds has not set up any other visits but he did say he would like to take trips to Oregon, UCLA and Boise State.
“I’m thinking sometime in December I would like to take those visits,” Childs said. “Hopefully we’ll make a nice little run in the playoffs here but I think I’ll be able to take the visits, just do a Saturday- Sunday thing. Right now, UCLA is still my leader. Ben Olson flew with me to ASU and we talked a little about colleges and I know that’s where he wants to go so it would be cool to play with someone like him. I’m still going to take my trips first though and I should be able to make a decision sometime in January.”
