Childs getting closer

Back in mid-July, we talked to Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide out Jeremy Childs at the Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison passing tournament and he said he was very close to pulling the trigger. The school of choice then and now is UCLA and it looks like that decision could come this week.
"I'm almost there," Childs said. "I would say there's about an 85% chance I could commit to UCLA this week. "I like the team a lot and the direction the team is going. I really think they're going to turn things around and it would be fun to be a part of that. I've known I wanted to go to UCLA for awhile now but just haven't been ready to pull the trigger but it could happen soon, possibly later this week."
Childs is a very talented player who earned CalHiSports.com state sophomore of the year honors two years ago and was named second team all-state underclass last year. He's currently ranked the No. 3 WR in the West region and No. 16 nationally.
