Rice Jr. gave us details on his visit to DeKalb and NIU.
"I had a really good time at NIU on my visit, and I would say that I'm leaning towards the Huskies at this point. I was really impressed with the coaches and the players at NIU, they really went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. I'm planning to major in Business, and NIU has a very good business program. I was able to get a lot of questions answered regarding graduation rates and academic programs on my visit. I also had a chance to get to know the coaches and the players much better."
"I'm really excited about the plans that NIU has in place for it's facilities. They definitely have big plans in place for the future, and NIU has also been very successful on the field as well and they are going to a bowl game this year. NIU is also close to home, so my family would have a chance to see me play in college."
"Overall I would rank my visit to NIU very, very high."
Rice Jr, is also set to make two more official visits.
"I'm going to make an official visit to Toledo this weekend, and my official visit to Indiana is still on for December 17th. I'm not sure what's going on with the coaching situation at Indiana, but the assistant coaches are still there. I'm still set to take that visit on the 17th unless I hear differently."
