Chicago DB off to a great start

Chicago, Ill. three star ranked cornerback prospect Melvin Rice Jr. (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) from Chicago Morgan Park has gotten off to a very strong start so far this season. “Things have gone pretty well for myself and my team this season," Melvin Rice Jr. said. “We're off to a good start, but that's in the past and we';re all focused on Hubbard this Friday. It's always a big game against Hubbard, and we'll be ready for them this year."

Rice Jr. talked about his latest recruiting news.
"I have offers from Akron, Northern Illinois and Ball State. I've also been getting steady calls from Ball State, Northern Illinois, Akron, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin so far."
Rice Jr. will also try to get to a few college games this fall.
"I've been invited to quite a few games this fall, but it all depends on my schedule. My team cones first, and as long as getting to those games doesn't conflict with my team's plans, then I'll try to see a few games in person."
Rice Jr. also is in no hurry at this point in making his final college choice.
"My coach has also had several requests for my early senior tape from a bunch of different colleges, so I'm going to wait and see how those evaluation go this fall. A few of the schools I have offers from want me to set up an official visit soon, but I might not set those up until the end of the season."
Rice Jr. also doesn't have any early favorites at this point.
"I'm still looking around at my options at this point, and I'm still pretty wide open for now."
