Chicago 3 star athlete verbals

Chicago, Ill. three star athlete prospect Justin Anderson (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) has made his verbal commitment.
"I called the coaches at Northern Illinois earlier this week and gave them my verbal commitment," Anderson said. "I really enjoyed my official visit to NIU and decided that it was the best place for me."

Anderson talked why he committed to the Huskies.
"I was really impressed with the academics at NIU, they offer a really solid education. I also just got along really well with the rest of the players and I also really like the coaches. The coaches are very honest and straight forward, and they are really good people. I just felt like I fit in the best at Northern Illinois so I committed. NIU has also had some great success on the field over the last few years, and they are also going to a bowl game this year (Silicon Valley). They have a great program in place and I'm excited to be a part of that success."
Anderson, who ran the Silver Streaks option attack in 2004 as a quarterback, was recruited by the Huskies as a running back.
"Several schools had been recruiting me at different positions, but I can definitely handle playing running back in college. Position was just not a really big factor to me. I just want to play."
Anderson will now enjoy the holidays with his recruiting process now behind him.
"I'm really glad to have the whole recruiting process behind me. I'm just glad to have it over with, and my family and friends are excited that they will get a chance to see me play in college."
