Chibane discusses his decision

Paramus, N.J. offensive tackle Zack Chibane has been committed for awhile. Rivals.com caught up with the 6-foot-4, 264-pounder to find out where he is headed and more about his decision.
"I actually committed a couple months ago at the beginning of the season," he said. "Basically I took my unofficial visit down to South Florida and after my visit to Tampa I came back and talked to my coaches and that was the place I wanted to be."

What did Chibane like about South Florida?
"I love the area down there," he said. "My grandma lives down there and I love the area, coaching staff and how open they are. The facilities are great and it was a perfect on my visit."
Did any coaches stick out from South Florida?
"Coach Leavitt sat down with my father and I, he was honest and straight forward," he said. "He talked to us about college and I really liked his personality and enthusiasm and what he has done for the program down there."
Chibane is committed, but is still unclear when he will enroll.
"I'm not sure, it's either a greyshirt or redshirt," he said. "They are supposed to let me know in a couple weeks. I'll either enroll in the fall or next January, 2010. They want me to play offensive guard."
Meanwhile, this season Chibane helped his team to a 5-5 record.
"I think I had a good season, I worked on a lot of my weaknesses," he said. "I think my biggest improvement was I was more explosive, I stayed lower and my technique was better."
Chibane plans to participate in wrestling this spring for Paramus before heading to South Florida.
