Chestnut Talks Favorites

Three-star running back Daryl Chestnut talks favorites following a big time performance Friday night against nationally ranked Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas.
Chestnut rushed for 159 yards on thirteen carries and added two touchdowns in a losing effort. He had a third touchdown run of called back because of a holding penalty. If not for the flag he would have eclipsed the 200-yard mark to open the season.

At 5-foot-9, 190-pounds Chestnut has a low center of gravity to go with an excellent burst. He already holds twelve offers and the list should grow following his effort against one of the nation's top programs.
"My team worked hard and the offensive line did a great job. We played as a unit, but St. Thomas was just the better team tonight."
On the recruiting front, Chestnut named a top four of Texas Tech, West Virginia, Florida State, and Kentucky.
"I like Texas Tech a lot. The Red Raiders are showing me the most love." He plans to visit Lubbock when Texas comes to town on November 3.
"West Virginia is another good school." The Mountaineers recent move to the Big 12 is a reason for excitement for Chestnut. "My plan is to go up there in late December or early January to check things out."
The lone in-state school that Chestnut cited was Florida State because of proximity. Kentucky may get an official visit as well. He hasn't set a timetable on his commitment.
