Taylor, who made official visits to LSU and Michigan before committing to the Wolverines on his trip to Ann Arbor, says the recruiting calls have stopped.
"Nobody's calling anymore," Taylor said. "I still get letters, but no phone calls."
Has Taylor talked to the Wolverines about next season?
"Coach Carr said they're not recruiting me to redshirt," Taylor said. "I want to play next season. My goal is to start. I'll probably try to enrol early to get going. Maybe in the summer. But I'm not going to graduate early."
The 6-foot-1 and 285 pound Taylor is the No. 7 defensive tackle prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Michigan.
