Three star defensive back Ray Cheatham out of Independence (Kan.) Community College made a trip to Big Ten country and enjoyed his time in the Midwest.
"I visited Minnesota," Cheatham said. "I'm on my way back home right now.

"I enjoyed myself. I liked the coaches and the players. I liked the way they treated me. I felt real comfortable. I liked how they are on the academics real hard.
"I'd give the visit a 10."
But Cheatham's official visit to Kansas State Dec. 9 would have to be a 10 or close too.
"I liked both of them," Cheatham said. "They both have good coaching staffs."
When asked what is next, Cheatham said, "I don't have anything else set up. But I'm thinking about Kansas or Iowa State. And maybe Oklahoma.
"Everyone except Oklahoma has offered (a scholarship). And I think they might be on the verge.
"I guess you could say Kansas State and Minnesota are my two favorites."
The 6-foot-0 and 185 pound Cheatham intercepted four passes this season.
