Chatman the next Horn star

Mesquite (Texas) Horn definitely had it's share of prospects in the 2006 class including four-star Florida recruit Mon Williams and three-star Kansas signee Olaitan Oguntodu. In 2007, the spotlight is on defensive back Justin Chatman who keeps adding offers and loads of interest.
Chatman, a 5-foot-9, 162-pound prospect who plays all over the field for Horn, has recently added a written offer from Minnesota to go along with Vanderbilt and UTEP. SMU, Rice, and Northwestern told Chatman to expect one in the mail from them soon.

"I'd say right now, my top schools are LSU, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, UTEP, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin," Chatman said. "Those are all even right now and together on my list.
"I like the coaching staffs, the environments there, and I've been to a few of them like Northwestern, LSU, Rice, and SMU."
The Rice camp was the most recent trip for Chatman. He found out about the offer coming a week before the camp and feels that his performance solidified things. He says that even though Rice and SMU are not on his favorites list, he's still looking hard at both schools.
"You never know what might happen," Chatman said about recruiting. "I'm not ruling either of those two schools out even though they're not as high as others."
Chatman says that he may head out to Ohio State and Northwestern in the near future. He'd like to have his decision made sometime during the season. Location won't be a factor.
"I'm just trying to find the right college," Chatman said. "It doesn't matter where it's at."
