Charles has early favorites

Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI sophomore wide receiver Irvin Charles has early offers from Temple and Massachusetts and he is starting to get an idea of which schools he likes.
In some respects he is aiming high, listing Southern Cal and Ohio State even though those schools have yet to show as much interest as more local schools.

This week Charles also said he likes Penn State, Rutgers and Maryland.
"I've visited UMass, Temple and Penn State," Charles said.
His interest in Massachusetts and Temple is obvious. Those schools have offered and have shown the most interest in the 6-foot-4, 207-pound receiver.
"I really like Penn State," he added. "I liked the atmosphere and everything. I didn't really get to talk to the coaches. It was just a little visit.
"I'm hoping to get back up to Rutgers and Maryland. I haven't been to Rutgers yet. It's one of my top schools. Offensively, I really like Rutgers. I like what they do with the ball."
Charles is unsure about summer camps yet, but he did have a successful stop at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour recently in New Jersey.
