Channels waiting on test results
One of the better prospects in the state of Ohio, 6-foot-1, 300-pound defensive tackle Martin Channels is taking his time on recruitment and waiting on some test scores to come in before taking that next step.
After taking his ACT, the No. 48 rated prospect in Ohio is waiting on the results to come in before doing anything else. Right now, offers from Indiana, Akron, Ball State, Kent, and Miami of Ohio are on the table. He is thinking about visits but holding off while he waits.
"When I get my test results in, I'll start thinking about visits and getting those ready to go," Channels said. "The results are coming soon and then after all of that is done, I'll make my decision."
Tennessee and West Virginia appear to be two schools that could be close to an offer. That is also delaying certain things for the talented defensive lineman.
"They're really looking at me hard," Channels said. "That would really be amazing to see offers come from them. It would change things up quite a bit."
As for right now, two schools have been in the running for official visits and appear to be the ones he is most interested in visiting.
"Well, Miami of Ohio and Ball State have asked me about setting up a trip," Channels said. "I've got a couple of those schools that have asked me to come, so I'm really considering those first."
