Channels schedules first official visit

Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne defensive lineman Martin Channels has scheduled his first official visit. But if things go as he hopes he will have to postpone the trip.
"I have Miami of Ohio Dec. 3," Channels said. "That's the first visit I scheduled."

However Wayne is 11-1 and headed for the third round of the playoffs this weekend. If they continue to win they would play for the state championship the first weekend in December.
"Miami, Akron, Kent State, Ball State, those are my (scholarship) offers," Channels said. "And Indiana and Toledo offered too. I'm looking at all of them. I'm just looking at the ones that offered right now."
When asked if he has a favorite, Channels said, "I like all of them. I still have to do my research."
The 6-foot-1 and 300-pound Channels, who has 17 sacks in 12 games, is the No. 48 prospect in the state of Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings.
