Channels commits to Miami of Ohio
Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne defensive tackle Martin Channels made official visits to Miami of Ohio and Akron before committing to the Miami Redhawks.
"I committed to Miami," Channels said. "It was the best fit for me.

"I like the (Miami) program. I like the coaches and players. They run a good program. They have a winning team."
Channels visited Miami Dec. 2 and Akron Dec. 9. He had scholarship offers from both, as well as several other MAC schools.
The 6-foot-1 and 300 pound Channels played the first three games of his senior season for Xenia, Ohio, before transferring to Wayne for the remainder of the campaign. Channels, who is the No. 48 prospect in the state of Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings, registered 17 sacks.
