Changes for Treadwell

Rivals100 wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has been patient throughout his recruitment, in no rush to make his college selection. In recent weeks, though, the Crete-Monee (Ill.) receiver has considered accelerating his decision timeline.
"I've been in this recruiting process for a long time and my mom said she thinks she's seen enough schools to be comfortable with making a decision," Treadwell said. "It probably will be late summer or during the season. It depends on how I am feeling at the time - if I feel the right school."

At this time, the "during the season" timeframe appears most likely. Treadwell is looking to get a few official visits in before making his final decision.
"I really want to get out to the further schools before I narrow down my list," Treadwell said. "I think once I get out to schools like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Oregon, I'll be pretty sure where I want to narrow down my list to."
Treadwell was on his way down to Oklahoma last month for the Sooner's spring game before inclement weather turned him back. He is also very excited to see their in-state rival, Oklahoma State.
"Oklahoma State, I like them a lot and they are one of my top schools," Treadwell said. "It's their recent trend with receivers, the vibe with the coaches and I have been doing a lot of research and watching videos of the facilities."
Treadwell and his mother eventually decided to head to Michigan for the Wolverine's spring game the weekend they were unable to make it down to Oklahoma. He had planned to return to Ann Arbor this past weekend, but was unable to mesh schedules with the Wolverine's coaching staff and plans to return in the summer.
"They said that they have one scholarship left and they would hold it for me," Treadwell said of Michigan. "I think they are one of the top contenders. They were my first offer, they really want me and I just like being up there."
Michigan quarterback commit Shane Morris has been actively courting Treadwell for the Wolverines. Illinois also landed a high profile quarterback commit in recent weeks - Rivals250 prospect Aaron Bailey - and that has positively affected his view of the Illini.
"It increased it a lot," Treadwell said. "I have a great vibe with Illinois, Ohio State and those schools. I talk to them a lot and plan to make a couple more visits to those schools too."
At this time, Treadwell has no college visits planned for the month of May and he is still looking to see where and when he will visit this summer.
