Change of plans for Dannewtiz

A lot has changed for San Jacinto (Calif.) offensive lineman Ryan Dannewitz. It wasn't too long ago that we expected the talented lineman to make an early commitment with Colorado the likely choice. The Buffs are still very much in the mix but it doesn't look like Dannewitz is in any hurry to make a decision right now.
Dannewitz, 6-6, 280 pounds is one of the top linemen in the West this year and is coming off of an all-state underclass junior season. He also had a strong showing at the SoCal NIKE Camp and is one of the most heavily recruited linemen in the West region.

Dannewitz attended the Buffs Junior Day in March and said he expected to make an early commitment when he arrived back home. With more and more schools coming in to the picture, things have now changed quite a bit.
"His head is spinning right now," San Jacinto coach Bill Powell said. "He still loves Colorado and just got back from their camp where he earned MVP honors. He just has so many other schools on his list now that he likes a lot, I really think he'll take his official visits now.
"I don't know if he'll take all five but I think he'll take a few for sure. He really likes Arizona, Oregon, Louisville and Washington and also wants to check out Michigan State and Ole Miss.
"Ryan has already been to Oregon, Colorado twice now and is at San Diego State with his parents today. He just wants to be 100% sure of his decision before he commits anywhere and right now, he just doesn't feel that way.
"We kid with him all the time about he should hurry up and commit somewhere but he has some great choices and just wants to look around some more before he does anything and I think that's the smart thing to do as well."
