Change of heart leads to WVU

Three-star Mobile (Ala.) Daphne quarterback/athlete Pat White had a change of heart today, choosing to sign with West Virginia rather than he’s previous commitment to LSU.
“I think he really loved both schools,” said Daphne coach Steve Savarese. “But when it came time to make that final decision, he just felt more comfortable with the opportunity and the offensive system they use at West Virginia.

“I know it was a very difficult decision for him, but he was sure he made the right choice. He followed his heart.”
He had also been considering Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
White (6-1, 180, 4.5) finished his senior season with 1,905 yards rushing and 31 touchdowns, while passing for 1,488 yards and 15 touchdowns. In all, he accounted for 3,393 total yards and 46 scores.
