Change is good for OGrady

Change can be a good thing and for Fayetteville (Ark.) 2015 tight end C.J. O'Grady it certainly was in 2013.
Before the season, O'Grady was a quarterback. A 6-foot-4, 230-pound quarterback, but as he looked for the right role, he thought a move to tight end or receiver might work out well. With that in mind he approached his coaches.

"I asked the coach to watch me and see what I could do at tight end or receiver," O'Grady said. "He threw me a couple of passes and I made some pretty incredible one-handed catches this year in practice and impressed the coaches."
It did not take long for O'Grady to find his groove at the position. In fact, O'Grady says everything clicked from the start. He was able to draw on his experience at quarterback to help him read defenses and the experience also helped build chemistry with his quarterback. The next thing he knew he was a major target at receiver with a knack for big plays.
"I like catching the ball over the top," O'Grady said. "That's my favorite thing to do because I'm kind of tall and I can jump and I can get the ball most of the time and catch it over somebody."
Recruiting attention has started to pick up with two SEC programs showing interest at this point.
"I've heard a little bit from Auburn and Arkansas," O'Grady said. "Those are really the only two I've heard from. Auburn invited me to the Iron Bowl Saturday and I've been going to all the Arkansas home games on unofficial visits."
He is unsure whether or not he will be able to make the trip to Auburn this weekend, but he is trying to figure out a way to make the trip. As for Arkansas, he grew up a fan of the Razorbacks, and he has been impressed with his visits.
"I love it," O'Grady said. "I'm really familiar with it. I've been watching since I was little. I'm more and more interested as I'm getting older."
