Change changes things for QB

About a month ago, Strafford (Va.) Colonial Forge pro-style quarterback Randy Hippeard was excited about a scholarship offer from Akron. However, as with many things in college football – things change.
“The whole Akron staff got fired,” Hippeard, who is 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, said. “So now I don’t know what is going to happen with them. I guess you can say that I’m waiting and seeing at this point.”

But while Akron and a few other Division I schools are still looking at Hippeard, other smaller schools have stepped up to the table.
“I’m looking hard now at Georgetown, Lehigh, Lafayette and Northeastern,” he said. “They’ve come after me hard and are now talking about offering me a scholarship.”
