Chaney ready to play ball

Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington athlete Quentin Chaney is working hard in preparation for his senior season.
"We are working hard for the season,” the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Chaney said. “We’re getting ready to play and we are eager to play a real game. We are all tired of practicing and hitting each other.”

Chaney can’t get to the season soon enough and the recruiting process is keeping him busy.
“It is really about the same,” the No. 14 rated athlete said. “I just keep getting a lot of mail. It has been a steady flow. I know the schools will start to call here in about a week. So, I’m kind of getting a list of schools I want to look at closely.”
Those schools include Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri, USC, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and LSU.
“I’m not really favoring any school,” he said. “I’ve kind of narrowed it down a little bit. But, I’m not going to ignore anyone at this point. I’m also looking at schools that have interest in me for basketball. That is another consideration for me in finding a school.”
Chaney is not in a rush to make a decision.
“I’m not going to rush this choice,” he said. “I want to take my visits and then decide.”
