Chaney has busy night on the phone

Tulsa (Okla.) Washington athlete Quentin Chaney has continued a busy month on the phone. So much so, that he couldn’t even talk.
“Quentin has had the phone to his ear since he got home tonight,” Chaney’s mother said. “He is on it right now and can’t get to the phone. I think it is Coach (Les) Miles from Oklahoma State this time.”

Oklahoma State was joined today by calls from Kansas State, Texas A&M, Colorado and Oklahoma.
“There have been lots of others over the last few days,” she said. “It has been a real steady flow of calls. We never expected it could get like this. It has really been something.”
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Chaney has not lined up any official visits yet, but is heading to Norman this weekend for the Sooners’ home game against UCLA.
“We have set up an unofficial visit for this weekend,” she said. “Quentin, his dad and I will all go down to Norman for the game on Saturday. I’m sure we’ll get the chance to visit with the coaches at some point. We are looking forward to it. It should be a good time.”
Don’t look for any quick decisions or official visits to be set up anytime soon.
“It is pretty hectic around here. We’re so busy with the phone for Quentin and everything else that we don’t know what is going to happen after this week. That’s about as far out there as I think I would want to say for now.”
