Challenge 7-on-7: Top Performers

Recruiting wrap: Blue is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Blue was an integral part of the Team Tampa defense, often times drawing a matchup against the opposition's best offensive playmaker and more than holding his own in coverage. During the day's biggest game, Blue went toe-to-toe with five-star wide receiver Nate Craig and even picked off a pass when he jumped a comeback route. Blue has added some weight to his frame this offseason, which allows him to be more physical at the line. His new approach paid major dividends, including defensive MVP honors.

WR
T.J. Chase
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Recruiting wrap: Chase is committed to Clemson.
Performance: Chase was a late arrival after spending the morning taking the ACT, but once he put on a jersey he was almost impossible to stop. He was on the receiving end of several passes from Henry and showed very consistent hands while showcasing his talents on all different types of routes. Chase has had a great spring and continues to show his versatility.

DB
K.J. Sails
Gibsonton (Fla.) East Bay
Recruiting wrap: Sails has offers from Indiana, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and several other programs.
Performance: Sails was probably the loudest talker at the tournament, but he backed up his talk with some excellent play. At 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, Sails doesn't have ideal size for a safety, but will likely grow in the position as his career moves along. He showed good coverage skills and excellent instincts throughout the tournament.
5
WR
Nate Craig-Myers
Tampa (Fla.) Catholic
Recruiting wrap: Craig-Myers is committed to Auburn.
Performance: Craig-Myers also arrived late but once he stepped on the field he quickly made his presence felt. Craig-Myers looks fully recovered from the broken leg that kept him out for months and showed great speed while getting open down the field. His trademark vertical was also on display and he made several plays despite frequent double coverage. He's still getting his wind back and that will take a little time, but Craig-Myers looks well on his way to reestablishing himself as one of the country's top talents.
6
DB
Michael Hampton
Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough
Recruiting wrap: Hampton has offers from Pittsburgh, USF and Virginia.
Performance: Hampton played cornerback opposite of Blue and made more than his fair share of plays as well. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back has ideal size to play cornerback or safety and also has the coverage skills to match. Hampton recently added his first three offers, and if he continues to play like he did over the weekend, his list will surely keep growing as the offseason moves along.
7
QB
Jack Allison
Palmetto, Fla.
Recruiting wrap: Allison is committed to Miami.
Performance: Allison was another late arrival to the event but he walked right onto the field and rotated with Henry through the knockout rounds of the tournament, showing excellent arm strength and good accuracy. Allison is still working on going through his progressions and can tend to lock onto his first receiver, but that's more about him trusting his arm than anything else. The 6-foot-5 pro-style passer looks like an ideal fit for Miami's offense and said he remains locked in with the 'Canes.
8
WR
Jaquarius Bargnare
Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips
Recruiting wrap: Bargnare has several offers, with West Virginia and Wake Forest among his early favorites.
Performance: At 5-foot-9 and 189 pounds, Bargnare is built like a running back, but says he's being recruiting as a slot receiver by the schools on his offer list. He showed nice skills as a wide receiver over the weekend, including a surprising burst after the catch. Bargnare has strong legs and can really get moving in a hurry, making him a tough cover over the middle.
9
QB
Holden Hotchkiss
Lakeland, Fla.
Recruiting wrap: Hotchkiss is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Hotchkiss was the trigger man for Next Level Elite and played a major part in their surprising run to the tournament final. Hotchkiss is very accurate and gets the ball out quickly and he showed good vision while consistently finding open targets. Despite playing on a team without of a ton of future Division 1 talent, Hotchkiss showed that he can make enough plays to carry a team through a tournament.
10
TE
Isaac Nauta
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Recruiting wrap: Nauta is committed to Florida State.
Performance: Nauta has said he's competing in 7-on-7 this offseason to help his route running and he showed off some pretty impressive skills over the weekend. The 6-foot-4 tight end can't show off his full array of talents in the setting, but he served as a possession receiver for his quarterbacks throughout the tournament and made several timely catches..
11
LB
Amir Abdullah (2018)
Plant City, Fla.
Recruiting wrap: Abdullah is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: It's not easy for a linebacker to have a ton of success in 7-on-7 but Addullah was quite the playmaker in the middle of the field for Next Level Elite, the tournament runner-up. Abdullah showed good instincts while playing in space and made several key pass deflections on balls thrown over the middle. As just a rising sophomore he's still early in his career, but he showed that his development is on the right track.
12
DB
Carlos Becker
Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola
Recruiting wrap: Becker is high on several programs, including Florida, Florida State and Ohio State.
Performance: Becker is listed in the Rivals.com database as an athlete but worked out only at cornerback at the event. He's a long, rangy defender and while he has pretty good coverage skills, he doesn't quite have the speed to keep up with smaller, shiftier wide receivers. Ultimately his future may be as a safety, where he will likely find himself in more favorable matchups and his physicality will be a bigger asset.
13
WR
Daquon Green (2017)
Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech
Recruiting wrap: Green has early offers from Kentucky Cincinnati and USF.
Performance: While Craig-Myers was off taking the SAT, Green was the go-to receiver for Team Unsigned Preps. The versatile Green showed great speed and consistent hands, and looks like he could be an excellent alternative for when Craig-Myers draws extra attention at more marquee tournaments later this offseason. Green recently added his first Power Five offer via Kentucky, and several more will likely come his way before it's all said and done.
14
WR
Ty'ree Rodman
Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen
Recruiting wrap: Rodman is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Rodman is another undersized target, but even at 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, he more than held his own at the tournament. He made several key receptions, over the middle and down the field, and was one of Hotchkiss' favorite targets.
15
DB
Trey Fullwood
Tampa (Fla.) Sickles
Recruiting wrap: Fullwood has several offers, including USF and UCF.
Performance: Fullwood is being recruited by several programs as a wide receiver, but he showed a pretty intriguing skillset while working solely at defensive back over the weekend. At 6-foot-2 he has great size, and at nearly 200 pounds his physicality was tough for some receivers to deal with. While he may end up playing offense, he athletic ability and ball skills could also serve him very well on defense.
