Chaisson on the map with offers

It didn't take long for the first two scholarship offers to show up for the 6-foot-2, 172-pound dual-threat quarterback Joe Chaisson. With heavy interest coming from all over, he knew it was only a matter of time. However, the first two programs surprised him a bit.
Heavy interest had been coming from Iowa, LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, TCU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. The first two were way off his radar.

"I was really shocked when Iowa State and Indiana offered me," Chaisson said. "Iowa State was really shocking because I hadn't had anything from them before that. It's exciting though and it feels real now."
Those two offers don't look to be the last. Texas A&M and Miami, his two current favorites, have shown a lot of interest. Chaisson is planning on taking a trip to Miami this summer and has already checked out the Aggies for their junior day.
"They've shown a lot of interest in me," Chaisson said. "My sister went to A&M so I'm familiar with them. Miami is up there too and I want to see what that school is like."
Though things have started quickly, his decision is not exactly around the corner.
"I'm going to wait things out a little longer to see what happens," he said. "I'm getting ready for the NIKE Camp at Texas A&M. I'm also playing baseball and doing the summer off-season program for football.
"I'm staying busy."
