Chadwick taking Big 12 visit

Carthage, Texas linebacker Rodney Chadwick is starting to get some Big 12 recruiting attention from several schools. The talented honorable mention all-state selection is not being looked at for just the linebacker position.
The 6-foot-2, 189-pounder is actually being recruited more as a safety prospect. Schools such as Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State have all sent mail to Chadwick. However, they like his ability as a defensive back and that's fine with him.

"I'm a fast player," Chadwick said. "I see it, and I go to it. If I stay this size, I want to play safety. If I keep getting bigger, I would want to play linebacker."
Regardless of his position choice, Chadwick says that he sees himself waiting a while for a recruiting decision.
This weekend, he'll be making his first unofficial visit to Texas A&M.
"They're up there," Chadwick said about the Aggies and where they fall on his favorites list. "I've been looking at them a lot. They've wanted me to come for a visit. They always are good about sending me stuff for all the events they have going on."
Chadwick had over 100 tackles this past season and five sacks. He was sophomore of the year for his district and made first-team all-district as a junior.
He doesn't have any other significant visit plans after Texas A&M.
