"Nikko is very tough, physical and aggressive," Shidan said. "He's extremely versatile. As a sophomore, Nikko played weak side defensive end and as junior he played strong side defensive.
"Nikko is a two-way, two-year starter for us," Shidan said. "He will once again start both ways for us and he will rarely leave the field.
"Nikko is such an outstanding athlete that he also plays basketball and led the team in scoring," Shidan said. "He also pitched on the baseball team, but he's not going to play on the diamond this year so he can concentrate on his grades and get stronger in preparation for his senior season of football.
The scouting report on Motta is he has a good motor, plays hard on every down and doesn't take plays off. That is saying something since he plays both ways and plays almost every down.
Motta has outstanding lower body strength as his 445-pound squat would indicate.
On the recruiting trail, Motta has received letters from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, San Diego State and Fresno State.
