Three-star defensive back Nathan Fellner (6-0, 195, 4.57) from Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West was an early commitment to Washington since the coaching change he has opened things up a bit and will start taking visits.
"I will visit Arizona on Saturday and Colorado in January," Fellner said. "I haven't heard from Washington for about two weeks. The defensive coordinator and my position coach aren't returning and I haven't heard from the new group."
"Arizona, my friend (Clovis West quarterback and Washington State pledge) Jeff Tuel is from there and he says it is really nice."
"Arizona is a legit team and they're in the Pac 10," Fellner said. "I've heard that the campus and the town is really cool."
"Colorado has really good facilities and a great tradition," Fellner said. "I like the coaching staffs of both schools. Both schools have shown a lot of interest in me and have done a great job recruiting me. Their interest means a lot to me."
Fellner is one of the reasons that Clovis West won their Section Championship after accounting for 98 tackles, five batted down passes, and four forced fumbles. All that while missing two games due to an ankle sprain and the opposition rarely threw over the middle because of Fellner's presence.
As a junior, he racked up 26 tackles, two interceptions and a two forced fumbles.
Fellner was selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 team for the class of 2009 landing has the Golden State's No. 91 prospect at any position.
