Central Valley Athlete has high goals

Wide receiver prospect Jake Peterson (6-3, 185, 4.6) from Bakersfield (Calif.) Bakersfield Christian first impressed onlookers with a very athletic performance at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto last May.
Peterson played quarterback as a junior, but due to his athleticism moved to wide receiver as a senior, the position he would most likely play on the D-I level.

Peterson is still in search for his first offer.
"I was hearing a lot from Cal in the beginning as well as Nebraska and Michigan State," Peterson said. "Now I'm hearing from Arizona State, Arizona and Fresno State."
"I don't have any official visits set up yet," Peterson said. "I'm wishing to visit Fresno State, Oregon and also Cal. As for a favorite, I'm kind of leaning towards Fresno State."
"The colleges have told me to keep playing hard and keep it up in school and hopefully towards the end of the season they'll send me an offer."
"I'm being recruited to play receiver and that's the position I prefer to play."
What is Peterson looking for in a college?
"I'm looking for a good education of course," Peterson said. "Also, I'm looking for a good school where I can do well. The education is the main thing and the reason why I want to go to college."
Peterson has high goals for himself and his team.
"Our main goal is to win a State Championship," Peterson said. "We're getting ready to win our league, and then we want to win state."
"I set a goal to score 20 touchdowns, which is really hard for a receiver. I also want to get 2,500 all purpose yards this year too."
