Central Florida Safety Hearing from Schools

Ocoee, Fla.-West Orange safety Geno Thompson received a few phone calls from coaches during May and had many schools come to his high school to watch practices.
"We had a lot of them stop through," Thompson said. "A few called me like Florida, UCF, Army, and Navy. Those coaches just talked about how spring football was going and said they were going to have a couple of their scouts come down to watch our (spring) game. We also had Princeton and all the Ivy League schools come through."

West Orange played a spring jamboree at nearby Dr. Phillips High School and won by a score of 7-3.
"I did real well," Thompson said. "I don't know the stats off of it becuase the coach hasn't talked to us about it yet, but I know I had one PBU (pass broken up) and a sack for like a 14 yard loss. I'm guessing between 12 and 14 tackles."
Thompson, who is awaiting his first offer, lists no favorites.
"Right now I'm just still weighing my options."
Geno has a few plans for this summer.
"I'm going to the UCF football camp, Alabama football camp, and probably the Florida football camp. Those are the three I know of right now. Maybe a couple more."
