Central Florida QB Hearing From Schools

Junior to Watch: Kenneth Patterson
School: Ocoee, Fla.-West Orange.

Position: Pro-Style Quarterback.
Size, Speed, and Grades: Patterson is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, and runs the forty-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He has a 2.8 grade point average.
Honors: Patterson was named All Conference following his junior season.
Statistics: Patterson passed for 1,650 yards and 19 touchdowns last year.
Favorites: Patterson likes Clemson and Florida. He has no offers yet.
Skinny: Florida, Clemson, UCF, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Iowa, and Oklahoma-- those are a few of the 40 schools who have been keeping in contact with Kenneth Patterson through the mail. The West Orange High School quarterback also recently worked out at the Nike Camp in Miami.
"I'm looking for a school with a lot of tradition and a passing offense," Patterson said. "And somewhere that I think I could play by my sophomore year."
Patterson has been West Orange's varsity QB since his sophomore season and describes himself as a pro-style quarterback. But he can also run with the football if he needs to-- Patterson has 4.7 speed.
"I think I'm a drop back style quarterback but if I have to I can make things happen out on the field," Patterson said.
Kenneth said West Orange has been primarily a passing offense but will maybe mix things up more this year.
"Last year we were more of a passing offense but now our coach wants us to go back to the wing-t," Patterson said.
Patterson said he plans on attend the FSU football camp this summer. West Orange has a spring game scheduled for Friday, May 24th at Orlando's Dr. Phillips High School.
