CenTex ATH heading to SMU

With one of its biggest recruiting weekends of the season over, it looks like SMU has picked up another commitment from a player from the Lone Star State.
This time the commitment is from Taylor, Texas, athlete/receiver Marcus Bunton.

“Yes, I committed,” Bunton, who is 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, said. “I committed because the guys that were showing us around were really nice and seemed like they were excited about the future of SMU football.”
Bunton might not be a household name with recruiting fans, but people in the CenTex region are aware of him. He was recently named MVP of his district after throwing for 1,000 yards and rushing for 800 yards and scoring 25 touchdowns.
“They recruited me as a receiver, but I’m a very good athlete,” Bunton said. “I’m excited about my decision. I was also offered by Vanderbilt.”
