Center names three leaders

Tramell Williams is one of the nation's top center prospects. Williams, from Jacksonville (Fla.) Robert E. Lee High School, received his fifth scholarship offer last week. This one came in from Illinois and it's a college football program that he's very excited about.
"Illinois put an offer on the table and that was so cool," Williams said. "I have been talking with them since my sophomore year. I will go there on the (June) 24th to the 26th and I can't wait to check them out. Coach (Dan) Disch is so cool and coach (Ron) Zook coached my head coach (Myrick Anderson) and offensive coordinator (OJ Small) at Florida. I feel real comfortable with those guys. They are two top guys that I look up to. The work they have done is incredible. That will be a big trip for me."

Now Williams has scholarship offers from Illinois, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Southern Miss and Indiana. From that group there are three schools that standout.
"I would say that South Carolina, Illinois and Southern Miss are my top schools right now.
"I really like TravarisRobinson at Southern Miss. I mean I love that guy and what they are doing right now. I would love to get to USM this summer but I may wait to make an official visit this fall.
"At South Carolina I love the ole ball coach in Steve Spurrier. I like the direction of program and I would love to be a part of it."
Williams is slated to visit Columbis on June 23rd and go to Champaign from there. His other summer plans are lifting, running and getting ready for his senior season. He is also looking into graduating early and making a decision fairly soon.
"There are some schools that could jump in the picture but I am not thinking of them as far as I am concerned right now. I may make a decision at the end of the month or in July. We'll see how these trips go."
