Center fighting for offers

Junior To Watch: Steven Kocevar

School: Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch

Position: Center

Size and speed: Kocevar is 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 5.4 seconds.

Favorite schools: Michigan State, Boston College, Kent State, James Madison, Penn State

Skinny: Kocevar is a natural at center and knows the game very well.

"As the center of the line I'm really good at knowing not only my role in each blocking scheme, but everyone else's along the line," said Kocevar. "I stay on my blocks really well and never assume the play is over. I finish the play every time."

While Kocevar grew up a Penn State fan, he's not sure if the Nittany Lions are too high on his list right now.

"Michigan State, Kent State, Boston College and James Madison are my leaders right now. They've all been in contact with me and the main thing I'm looking for is a scholarship. If Penn State were to offer then they would probably go up my list, but I'm not sure if they will. I haven't heard from them yet.

"The biggest factors in my decision will be the possibility to play early. It doesn't have to be right away though. I would like to stay close to home somewhat. But like I said, the biggest thing will be who offers."
