Cedar Hill prospects having big year

Things are surely heating up on and off the field for coach Joey McGuire and his Cedar Hill (Texas) football team.
There are numerous commits already including Romie Blaylock (Baylor), John Jones (Baylor), Chris Francis (Baylor), Anthony Blue (Nebraska), and Cameron Thompson (Rice.). That doesn't mean there aren't plenty of prospects waiting to make their decision.

Four-star wide receiver William Cole is still looking over possible official visits. Schools under consideration include Nebraska, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Arizona, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. There were rumors going around that Texas may have been showing more interest late, but McGuire says that he hasn't heard anything of the sort about the Horns.
"No, I haven't gotten any big interest from them on William," McGuire said. "I talked to coach Oscar Giles way back in the spring, but they haven't said anything to me lately about offering anybody here."
While the UT rumors appear to be just a rumor, it's obvious that Cole is one of the fastest rising prospects in the state. He's closing in on the 3,500 total yard mark. He's rushed for over 2,000 and passed for around 1,303 yards.
More offers have come for McGuire's prospects including a few sleepers.
"Rice just officially offered Tory Tyner yesterday," McGuire said. "He also got an offer from Central Arkansas too."
As for the junior class, his top prospect still appears to be defensive tackle Jarvis Humphrey. No other offers have come yet for Humphrey other than the lone one from the Big 12.
"Baylor is the only offer right now," he said. "There haven't been any others but we expect a lot more to come."
Cedar Hill is moving to the third round of the playoffs this weekend.
