CB Williams is taking it slow

Cornerback Michael Williams out of Maryland power, Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha is taking recruiting slow. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder hasn't taken any visits recently, but plans to start making rounds next month.
"I'm just talking to coaches, emailing them back and forth," Williams said. "The schools showing interest are Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, Pittsburgh and Towson. That's most of it.

"They just are keeping in touch with me, seeing how I'm doing every week and seeing what's going on. They want me all to take a visit when I'm down with track season."
Due to track, Williams hasn't visited any schools this spring and has yet to schedule out his summer.
"I'm going to hit up some schools, I'm going to visit schools that have an interest in me."
Meanwhile, Maryland continues to be the lone offer for the cornerback.
"They are still one of my choices right now," he said. "I'm still trying to focus on getting better and seeing what other schools are doing, but they are one of my choices."
Williams maintains no leaders as he is looking to hold off until the season at least before a decision is made.
In the meantime, track is keeping him busy, particularly championships this week where he is currently ranked No. 10 in the state in the 400-meter.
