CB Walker has a leader

Offers haven't picked back up yet for Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek cornerback Brian Walker. However, the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is set to take a visit this weekend.
"I still have offers from Auburn, NC State, Minnesota and South Carolina," he said. "I've been talking to some schools, but nothing is really different. Probably the most consistent school to be talking is NC State."

The Wolfpack are expected to get a visit from Walker this weekend.
"I'm going up there for a junior day on Saturday," he said. "I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with the coaches. I talk to Coach O'Brien a lot and he came to my school a couple times. That is probably my leader overall, I like the school.
"I'm going to get a better relationship with the coaches, so that is probably where I'm leaning."
Walker claims he's not close to a decision, but wants to see a few things on the visit.
"Nothing really specific, I just want to go see how the school is overall, not just the football aspect of it, but how it is around the whole area, the town and that."
Walker mentioned a plan to possibly head to North Carolina sometime in February.
So, is there an offer he's still holding out hope for?
"The only one I want to get is West Virginia and maybe Georgia Tech," he said. "I just like West Virginia's style and how they use their defensive backs. It's the same for Georgia Tech, I like how they go."
Walker just returned from participating in the U.S. Army Combine.
"It was pretty good, it was a different experience combine wise," he said. "I thought I did well. I think I showed that my zone coverage is pretty good and getting better. I can tell I'm getting stronger, I did 185 17 times. I also did pretty well in one-on-ones."
Walker earned all-conference this season while posting 38 tackles; three interceptions and four fumble recoveries.
