Treshon Broughton is starting to focus a little more on the recruiting process and the Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta cornerback is trying to schedule an official visit to Oregon State.
The Beavers have done a tremendous job recruiting the Inland Empire area of Southern California this recruiting cycle and have landed numerous commits from there and Broughton is definitely interested in visiting soon.
"I just talked to them a few days ago so I'm going to set it sometime soon," Broughton said. "I'm trying to go on November 24 for the Civil War.
"It's very important for me to get up there. They've shown a lot of interest in me so I want to show them that I'm interested as well.
"I want to get up there to show them I'm interested and I just want to make sure about the place. I don't want to say I'm going somewhere without being there first. I want to see if I can live there for four years."
Oregon State's success this season has played a big role for Broughton but his growing relationship with the coaching staff is an even bigger factor.
He said his talks with those coaches have played a big role in why he wants to visit Corvallis.
"The winning is playing a part, that makes me want to go there even more, but it's really the coaching staff," Broughton said.
"I think they're a well-rounded coaching staff. Not only one coach has talked to me, all of them talked to me, and I liked that about them."
So far, Broughton has received offers from Oregon State, Fresno State and New Mexico State. He said a trip to Fresno is also under serious consideration and that he has been talking a little more with Washington recently.
