CB Shankle impressed with Alabama

Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly cornerback Terry Shankle still holds five offers. However, the 6-foot-0, 170-pounder recently returned from a visit to one of the top teams in the SEC.
"I went to Alabama recently," he stated. "It was a good visit; I got a chance to talk to Nick Saban and some of the other coaches. I liked talking to them.

"I felt comfortable at Alabama. I liked it a lot. The people around the campus really impressed me and how much pride they have in the school. The spring game had 92,000 people at it last year. Plus, they are supposed to be adding on to the stadium."
Are there any other visits coming for Shankle in the near future?
"Not right now," he said. "I probably will try to get to NC State sometime soon. I might go to Clemson, NC State and North Carolina for spring games too."
At this time, the Carolina prospect holds five offers from Alabama, North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina and Tennessee.
"Clemson wants to offer, but it depends how I do this semester," he said. "I wouldn't say I have a favorite amongst the schools. I like Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina and Tennessee."
A few other schools are also showing interest including Wake Forest and Florida.
What does Shankle want in a college?
"I'm looking for a place I fit in at," he said. "An important thing for me is being able to trust the coaches because I'm starting a new career on my own. I want to make sure I graduate with an education in case I get hurt. Then, I want playing time."
