Cornerback Vance Roberts out of Washington (D.C.) Dunbar and his brother Vernard have emphasized their desire to play together. However, at this time the two have different favorites. What's the latest with the corner's leaders?
"I've got offers from Marshall, Syracuse, Rutgers, Villanova and West Virginia," he said. "Illinois, New Mexico and Michigan State are showing interest. Illinois is supposed to be offering this week. Cincinnati appears to be close too. Virginia Tech just recently came in and is interested."
With lots of colleges taking a look, who leads at this point in time?
"West Virginia is my No. 1 school right now," he said. "When I went down there they broke down the depth chart and I talked to the defensive back coach. He showed me their defense and said it's up to me if I can start. I think I'd be able to take a spot there and I've liked West Virginia since I was a kid.
"I like Rutgers too. I was up there for the showcase and it feels like a great environment. The field gave me chills, just like this past weekend with Virginia Tech's field. That gave me chills too."
The brothers are considering camps at Wake Forest, Maryland and Pittsburgh this summer.
Joining his brother this past weekend, Vance discussed his experience at the Blacksburg NIKE Camp.
"I think I did great," he said. "I expected to do that and I think it was positive for me.
"I feel like I showed and proved to a lot of people that I'm a great defensive back, one of the best in the nation. I played with a chip on my shoulder and showed I can compete with anybody."
