Quarterback Christian Green and offensive tackle Chaz Green tend to get all the accolades when you are talking prospects at Tampa Catholic High School. But they also have a standout cornerback prospect named Jeremi Wilkes.
"He has scholarship offers from Florida State, Iowa, Georgia Southern, Syracuse, Rutgers, Louisville, Troy, and Western Kentucky," Tampa Catholic head coach Bob Henriquez said. "Right now Jeremi's in the process of process of setting up visits."
Wilkes, 5-9 and now 180 pounds, impressed his head coach with what he did in the off-season.

"He has been tremendous. Jeremi has be really dedicated in the weight room. He needed to get stronger in upper body and he did. He's more stout now against the run. That should pay dividends this year."
Tampa Catholic opens up against Groveland Southlake tomorrow night. Their Kickoff Classic against Naples (Fla.) Lely was cancelled last Friday because of the flu bug that hit Tampa Catholic High School. With a student population of around 700, an estimate 20% of the students had the flu, including a few football players.
