CB Houston focused on Pitt

Cornerback Chris Houston has two offers but at the moment he has narrowed his focus to one school.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back from Harrisburg (Penn.) Bishop McDevitt is hoping to receive some good news from the coaches at Pitt before the summer is over.

"I've just been working out with the team but I did go to a couple of camps," Houston said of the first half of the summer. "I went to Connecticut, West Virginia and Pitt. I did real good at West Virginia and Pitt. At Connecticut I kind of banged my knee up a little bit and had to sit out."
Houston holds offers from Army and Duke. While those schools are possibilities, he is mostly concerned with earning an offer from the Panthers. According to him, it is only a matter of time.
"Pitt is going to offer me," he said. "They didn't offer me yet, but they will by the end of the summer. They're my favorite.
"I like the family atmosphere and the coaching staff. All the players have a bond with each other. I like the practice facilities. They use the same facilities as the Pittsburgh Steelers so I'm thinking I could get some tips and help. There's a lot to do because it's right in the city."
Houston recently talked to a coach from Pitt and was given some good feedback.
"They're really interested," he said. "They really like me. When I went to their camp they had me do individual drills and they said I did them all correct. I had what they were looking for. Right now they haven't had a chance to come together and talk. They're all on vacation now.
"They're going to let me know though. They said my name keeps popping up and I'm high on their board."
Houston said he will likely wait until the end of the year to make his decision. He said that if Pitt were to offer he would like to make an early decision, but his parents would probably prefer that he wait anyways.
