CB Evans looking to go south
Hampton (Va.) Phoebus cornerback Reid Evans is beginning to acquire interest from colleges. Currently a handful of ACC schools are eyeing the 5-foot-11, 168-pounder.
"I'm getting interest from Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland mostly," he stated. "I haven't asked my coach that much about recruiting stuff yet since I'm running track.

"I can say that I do want to go somewhere down in Florida if I can. I'd like to get out of the state and Florida is a good place for me to go. I grew up a fan of Florida State and they have a good school academically and sports wise. I've wanted to go there for awhile."
Although he is favoring the Sunshine State, Evans is looking around. What does he want in a university?
"I'm going to go to college for all four years and get my degree," he said. "Hopefully after that I can make it to the pros, but I need something to fall back on. I want to go into marketing and business, so I'm looking for a good business school."
Last season Evans hauled in nine interceptions as a junior while leading Phoebus to a state title.
