CB Bryant is closing in on a decision

Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge cornerback Derrick Bryant has one schools standing out for his services. The 6-foot-1, 186-pounder plans to at least visit the leader before making a decision in the coming weeks.
"Not much is going on for me right now," he said. "I'm just trying to make a decision pretty soon. I'd like to do it before the season starts.

"Between now and then the only visit I know I'm going on is to LSU on July 20th. Depending on how that goes, I could make a decision then or after."
Is the three-star prospect looking at any other visits?
"I would like to go to Alabama, Virginia Tech and maybe Ohio State, but none of them are scheduled at this time."
Currently LSU is leading for the No. 23 cornerback in the country.
"LSU is the one school that really sticks out," he said. "I could see myself going there. They have a great winning program every year and they are always competing in the SEC which is a hard division to play in. They show a lot every week and compete against winning programs. They also know how to get people to the next level."
Bryant maintains that two other SEC programs are right up there behind the Tigers.
"Auburn and Alabama are in consideration too," he said. "Auburn is the only school I've visited and I like what I saw on their campus. Alabama has the coaching experience with Nick Saban. I know that he puts an emphasis on defensive backs."
