CB Bratton starts to receive interest

Virginia Tech has already pulled out Potomac (Va.) Osbourn Park's star player Quille Odom, but the Yellowjackets have another player to watch in 2007. Cornerback Keenan Bratton is beginning to pick up interest of his own.
"A variety of schools have started to show interest in Keenan including Richmond, Delaware, Kansas State, Virginia and Virginia Tech," Osbourn Park head coach Brian Beaty said. "It's hard to say how much interest these schools have now and if they'll materialize into an offer. I think he'll probably need a good senior year to earn some scholarships."

Last season Bratton's brother signed with Delaware.
What makes the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder stand out as a player?
"The big thing for Keenan is his intelligence for the game, it's incredible," he said. "He played four positions for us just last year and I'd probably say he is one of the smarter players I've ever coached. Another good thing about his intelligence is that you only need to tell him something once and he'll pick it up immediately.
"As far as a player, he is a solid cornerback that runs well and adjusts to the ball correctly. He also is very good tackler."
Last season Bratton earned all-district and second team all-region honors.
