Cavs still lead for Brown

Running back Andre Brown is playing as well as any running back in the state. He's running all over defenses, and one school is his leader.
"I'd say Virginia has a slight edge over NC State for now," said Brown. "The biggest thing going for UVA right now is their staff. Coach Groh is an NFL guy and knows how to get guys to the league. They have some really good running backs now and they use them well in their offense.

"NC State is just behind them, but not by too much. They use their running backs really well too. Their main guy, T.A. McLendon has been hurt a lot this year, but it's a great offense for running backs to rush for yardage and catch passes. I like Coach Amato and the staff there, plus they're an in-state school."
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound back from Greenville (N.C.) Rose has already rushed for more than 2,200 yards and 33 touchdowns in ten games.
"I visited Virginia back in September and had a really good time," he said. "That opened my eyes to the possibility of going to school there. I plan on going to the NC State-Virginia game this weekend in Raleigh. I'll have mixed emotions about that one. Both schools have left such good impressions on me, I just want to see a good game.
"I'll take an official visit to NC State on December 5th. I'll be at Nebraska pretty soon on an official visit. I'm also interested in Tennessee and Miami. All those schools are good places for running backs and their programs are in good hands."
All of Brown's favorites have offered, and he plans on making a decision after his visits.
