Sarasota (Fla.) Riverview offensive lineman Drew Miller added a new scholarship offer to his list on Wednesday.
“Virginia came to our practice today,” he said. “I got to talk to coach (Andy) Heck for a little while, and he told me they were offering me a scholarship. It sounds like a really good program and school. I may go up there sometime this summer.”
Miller (6-6, 305, 5.2) also has offers from Florida and Duke. He’s receiving interest from a number of other schools, including Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.
“Those are my favorites right now,” he said. “Depending on who comes down here or calls me this spring, that will determine where I go for camp, if I go anywhere. I may just take some visits and see the campuses.”
He had previously listed west coast schools such as UCLA and USC among his favorites, but has since dropped them in favor of sticking closer to home.
Miller, who competes in national weightlifting competitions, boasts a 350-pound bench press and a 500 squat. He graded out at over 90 percent as a junior.
