Cavaliers top Tallmans list

Dorchester (Mass.) Boston College High tight end/defensive end Andrew Tallman is sitting in a much better position today than he found himself in a couple of months ago.
Back then the 6-foot-5, 237-pound defensive end had an offer from Utah, and he was taking a hard look at the Mountain West school. You can bet that he's still interested, but now he has several more offers to choose from.

Tallman now holds scholarships from Virginia, SMU, Tulane and New Hampshire, in addition to Utah.
As he said a couple of months ago when he received those offers, the ACC school is standing out.
"I'd say Virginia is my favorite," he said. "They're number one. I just think it's a good situation. It's a great school, academically, and they're in a great conference. It seems like a good place to play football."
Tallman visited Virginia earlier in the year and was impressed with what he saw in Charlottesville. He's now saying he hopes he can take another unofficial visit to the school in the near future.
The jumbo athlete said he is being recruited by everyone as either a defensive end or a tight end.
He did admit he would be interested if other schools, including Boston College, were to offer down the road.
