Cats, Tigers after Texas TE

Richardson, Texas tight end Jordan Hearvey has picked up two scholarship offers so far and that list could continue to grow.
“I have scholarship offers from Kansas State and Missouri right now,” the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Hearvey said. “Kansas State has been recruiting me the longest and I like them quite a bit.

“Missouri is a good program as well. I’ve got two good options with the offers I have right now.”
The two Big 12 Conference schools are not the only schools recruiting Hearvey.
“I am being recruited by Arkansas, too. I went to football camp at Arkansas last weekend. I had a good time and got to talk to the coaches and learn a little bit about them and their program. Kansas State, Missouri and Arkansas are the main three schools at this point.”
As a junior, Hearvey pulled in just three passes for 38 yards.
“I play tight end and offensive tackle on offense,” he said. “I also want to get a shot on defense at end. We run the ball a lot in our offense, so there aren’t a lot of passes for me to try to catch. I enjoy it and my coaches think I do a good job on offense, but I want to give defensive end a shot, too.”
Hearvey does not plan on rushing into a decision.
“I want to take a couple of visits this fall,” he said. “That will give me a chance to see the schools during the school year and look around then. After that, I should be able to make a choice.”
