Cats land record breaker

The wild ride that has been the Arizona Wildcat season just keeps getting better and better. In what has been one of the great turn a rounds in recent years the Wildcats received the icing on the cake of this very surprising season for the U of A.
The Wildcats received the committal of record breaking running back Marcus Thomas (6-1, 185, 4.5) from Tolleson, Ariz.

Thomas broke the state of Arizona career and single season rushing record. He rushed for 5,878 yards for his career and he rushed for 3,573 and scored 46 touchdowns as a senior.
Thomas burst onto the Arizona high scene with 2,087 yard effort as a running back his junior season. He also proved to be an outstanding receiver catching 25 passes for 580 yards. Thomas scored 27 touchdowns as a junior and was the only junior running back on the all-state team.
Thomas chose the Wildcats over Oregon, Washington State and UCLA.
“I had to go with my heart,” Thomas said regarding his college choice.
It also helps that he is real good friends with Wildcat running back Mike Bell another stellar running back from Tolleson high.
Even though Thomas was a standout running back for Tolleson, he wants to play wide receiver for the Wildcats.
